For my entire self adopted extended family:
I will not pretend to compare my grief in the loss of your mom, but I assure you I do share in your loss, I share the grief.
Everything good in my life is a direct descendant of of her, her inherent good nature and generosity.
Scott will forever be referred to as my best friend. He in turn brought me Alison and Emily and the joy of them in my life.
Your mom changed the course of my life when she approached me about a chance for a career in the Union. I make no mistake in knowing it was through her I was able to get my foot in the door. To this day I work hard and remain grateful for this opportunity. I strive to make her proud, it is the only way I know to thank her.
"I am a part of all that I have met" (Tennyson)
I will wear the badge of her influence for the rest of my days. My hope is when it is my time to leave this life, even just one person will look at me with the immense respect I hold for your mom.
I regret not being allowed to visit the Manor this past year, but it does make the times the girls and I did get to visit that much more special.
As I said, I do no not try to compare our grief, please take comfort in knowing there are those of us who share your grief.
May God Bless Mrs. Mansfield's soul.
May she deservedly Rest In Eternal Peace
