Marion Agnes Bryan

AGE: 62 • Eatontown

Marion Agnes Bryan, 62, of Eatontown, who is remembered as a loving wife and mother, passed into the Lord's hands on Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel, after a long illness. Born Marion Agnes Brandt on Staten Island, N.Y., she was the only daughter of David and Elinore Brandt. Marion graduated from St. Louis Academy High School and attended Notre Dame College on Staten Island, N.Y. Marion was a military wife who volunteered selflessly with Catholic youth groups in the military. She took a very active role in church activities wherever she and her husband were stationed. Prior to and after her marriage, she worked for the New York telephone company. Marion was highly devoted to her family and also enjoyed reading, crocheting and jigsaw puzzles.

Marion was predeceased by her adopted daughter, Annette Bryan. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Albert. Marion also leaves behind her eight adopted children, David Bryan and wife Denise, Thomas Bryan and wife Jiyong, Maureen Bazydlo and husband Jason, Phillip Bryan and wife Lilian, Shawn Bryan, Jessica Bryan, Christopher Bryan and James Bryan. She is also survived by her brother, Leo Brandt and wife Betty; nine grandchildren; and four nieces.

Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 2 at the Braun Funeral Home, 106 Broad St., Eatontown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, June 3 at St. Dorothea's RC Church, Eatontown. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, Christ the King Parish, 408 Prospect St., Long Branch, NJ 07740 or Birthright of NJ, 294 Broad St., Red Bank, NJ 07701.
