Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Elizabeth "Libby" Adams Dym; children, Catherine Dym of Lexington, SC, Lara Dym of Spartanburg, SC, Lori Dym of Georgetown, MD, and Mark Dym (Janette) of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Ben and Sara Dym of Chicago, IL; sister, Susan Perkins of Wisconsin; numerous nieces and nephews; and his precious furry companion, Lucy. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Helene Conti.

A service in celebration of his life will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 8, 2018, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by The Rev. Joanne Hull. Visitation will follow the service.
