MARY ELLEN PEPE
AGE: 63 FORMERLY OF LAVALLETTE
Mary Ellen (Applegate) Pepe, age 63, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., died on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at St. Lucie Medical Center, Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Mary Ellen was pre-deceased by her son, Kelly Pepe in 2007 and her sister, Patricia Kennedy. Surviving are her son, Kent Pepe of Boston, Mass.; grandchildren, August and Paris Pepe of Buffalo, NY; brothers, Walter Applegate of Toms River and Roland Applegate of Las Vegas, Nev.; nieces, Michele Pepe of Hope Sound, Fla. and Doris Martinez, Patricia Herflicker; nephews, William Kennedy, Kevin Kennedy and Skylar Applegate, all of Toms River, Trevor Applegate of Calif., Brian Applegate and Darren Applegate, both of Ore. and Billy Applegate of Ariz.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, May 8, 2010, from 10 a.m. until a Celebration of Life being held at 11 a.m. at the Riggs Funeral Home 130 North Route 9, Forked River. A repast will follow at Il Giardino Sul Mare Restaurant, Route 9 and Hollywood Blvd., Forked River. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society 1035 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ 08753 in Mary Ellen's memory.

I am truly sorry to hear about the loss of my aunt Ellen, she will be missed by many of us i have great memories of her and still read the Dr. Seuss book she sent me as a child(in 1971) to my kids now. may she rest in peace & happiness.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Mary Ellen and of Kelly in 2007. Kelly was a dear friend to me, he took me to my Senior Prom...I want to send my condolences to her family especially to Kent...Kent if you read this I am thinking of you! Kent, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom. When I stumbled upon her obituary, I found out about Kelly's passing as well - which absolutely breaks my heart. I've been trying in vain to find him for over 5 years now. Please reach out to me, [email protected] if you can.
