Hi Mick, will always remember our childhood days in NB. Dodgers, your astute halftime analysis at the RU football games. Sad to see you go, but am sure there is a seat with your name on it upstairs.

I remember playing shortstop on the Elks 215 in New Brunswick on the Little League field about 400 feet from homeplate of the Babe Ruth field. All of a sudden people were yelling "heads up" when a baseball landed right next to me. I looked up to see who hit that ball. It was Mickey Hendricks. He could really hit a baseball. He was also a fun loving guy who was a friend to all. RIP Big Mick.

Deeply saddened, my heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family.
Smick was such a great guy and a wonderful boss. During the years that I was his secretary, I can honestly say that I never-ever saw him in a bad mood. He was always smiling, had great stories and a great sense of humor. He never had a bad word to say about anyone no matter what the circumstances, which was one of his most admirable qualities. He was always kind to his co-workers.
You're fired! he would always jokingly say. He wrote it on a post-note and put it on my desk (way back when) and although the ink is fading and I have a new job, I still have that post-it note hanging on my office wall. He used to call me Lefty. I have so many great memories of Mickey that I will always cherish. He was definitely one of a kind.
RIP Smick.
I can only hope that there are baseball cards in Heaven!-----
