Michael Keane Obituary
AGE: 53 • Jackson Township
Michael Keane, 53, of Jackson Twp., passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, at home. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Menlo Park Terrace, Woodbridge Twp. before moving to Jackson 16 years ago. Michael worked for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority in Woodbridge as a Sgt. Plaza Supervisor for 25 years before his retirement in 2004. He was a member of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Eleanor Keane. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Diane Lynn Keane; his son, Michael Joseph Keane of Jackson; his daughter, Daina Lynn Keane of Jackson; his brothers, Thomas Keane and his wife Kim of Kansas, and Kevin Keane and his wife Marykim of Hamilton; his grandson, Julian Ward Lamont; his aunt, Kathleen Barry of Bayonne, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 at the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson Twp. A funeral gathering will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2015 at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m. at The Church of St. Monica, 679 West Veterans Highway, Jackson. Interment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Dr., Lakewood.
