With an untimely death, one can focus on the tragedy and the ending or on the life. What I know from my experience with him and what I want to share with his family is that Mike had a bright and giving light and a way of connecting on a personal level with the people he met. I honor his life, and miss his light.

To the Kovacs Family and all my friends at Prudential who worked closely with Mike, I am so very sorry for your loss. I will always remember Mike as a gentle soul who was always willing to help ... and who was quick-witted and filled with ideas. There's a Native American proverb that says: "They are not gone who live in the hearts they left behind." Mike will live in all our hearts ... always.

I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Mike. His bright mind, quick wit, and thoughtful manner will be missed. My condolences to his mother and siblings - I hope you find comfort in knowing Mike had a very positive impact on the people he worked with and his contributions will be missed, but not forgotten.

Mike: I will miss you every morning as I pass your work space. More than anyone else, you made me laugh out loud with your jokes and comments. More importantly, you had a way of connecting in a meaningful way with all that you met. Rest in peace, friend.

I will always love and miss you my special friend. My life is lonely without you here and you will never know how much you were loved and how many lives you touched. I am comforted knowing that we have a big tough guardian angel now. You will be forever missed.
