AGE: 84 • Florham Park
Michael R. Talty, 84, of Florham Park, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Overlook Hospital, after many years of Alzheimer's. Michael was born on July 3, 1929 in New York City, NY. He was a professional Educator holding many positions throughout his career. Mike loved singing with his group, The Raconteurs, (a barber shop group) and on any and all occasions. He loved playing golf and earned multiple hole-in-ones at several golf courses in the area. He was an avid New York Giants fan and loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Barbara Talty and daughters, Cara Talty Heary and husband Bob and Elizabeth LeDonne and husband Chris. He was the grandfather to Declan, Maren, and Conor Heary and Gia LeDonne.
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Wm. A. Bradley and Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ 07928. A Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd., Chatham NJ 07928. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834. Mike was a wonderful caring man who brought joy to the lives of so many. His legacy is in his kindness, good humor, sincerity and professionalism. We enjoyed working with him in the Parsippany School system.
