Nancy Schermond Obituary
AGE: 69 • Ocean Township
Nancy Schermond, age 69 of Ocean Township died peacefully in her home on Sunday, November 12, 2017. A lifelong resident of New Jersey, she was raised in Boonton and lived most of her life in Ocean Township, where she loved the community and the home she and her husband built. Mrs. Schermond is the daughter of Gus and Peggy, both of whom predeceased her.
Nancy spent her days in her gardens, as she loved her yard and her flowers. More than that, she loved her animals and lived her life surrounded by her dogs. She was passionate about nursing, graduating from Monmouth University as a Registered Nurse. After years of working at Bayshore Hospital, she spent most of her career working for Clive Smith, MD, retiring only recently.
She is survived by her devoted family: her husband George Schermond, her daughter Karen Schermond, her son Daniel Schermond, her granddaughter Addison, and her brother, James.
Calling hours will be Friday, November 17, from 06:00-08:30 pm. Funeral services will follow at 8:30 pm. Both services will be held at John P. Condon Funeral Home LLC, 804 St. Hwy. #36, Leonardo, NJ. Cremation Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made in her name to your favorite charity or cause

Dear George, Dan, Karen, Addison, and James,
My heart breaks for your family on your loss. Nancy and I spent many a happy day together when our children were young. Her love of animals was only surpassed by the love for her family. She was so proud of each of you. I will miss her quick wit and wonderful caring nature, always.
