Lakewood - Nancy M. Severs, aged 78, of Lakewood, passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2019.Nancy was born in Rahway and graduated from Benedictine Academy. She moved to Toms River in 1965 with her husband where they raised their family. In 1999, they became snowbirds, wintering in Bradenton, Florida, eventually returning to New Jersey as permanent residents.Nancy is predeceased by: her loving husband, Frederick H. Severs; by her brother, SP4 Gary E. Jensen, a fatality of Vietnam; her parents, William and Marie Jensen; and her youngest grandson, AWO3 Michael J. Vecchio, United States Navy.She will be sadly missed by her family, beginning with her five children: Donna and husband Michael Sever; Kevin and wife Lori Browne; Cheryl and husband Joseph Messina; Sharon and husband Darrel Gedde; and Carol and husband Michael Vecchio. She will also be missed by her many grandchildren who affectionately called her "Nana": Lisa and husband Jason; Kevin Jr.; Eric and wife CaSarah; Heather and husband Matt; Rene; Patrick; Kimberly; Ryan; Jennifer; Kellina; Laurie; and Vincent; and her great-grandchildren, whom she called her "GGC's": Devin; Joseph; Kacie; Owen; Annabelle; Zander; Mila; and Leo. Visitation will be Sunday 12-4 PM at Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals, 412 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. There will be a Requiem Mass Monday 10AM at St. Joseph's Church on Hooper Ave., Toms River, followed by final interment at St. Joseph's cemetery in Toms River.
