Shrewsbury - Patricia V. Nelson, 87, of Shrewsbury, NJ passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. Born in Lincoln, England, she met her husband, Robert Nelson, while he was serving in the US Air Force stationed overseas in England. They were soon married in 1956 and flew to the United States and settled in New Jersey. Patricia (Pat) was a devoted wife and mother of their two children. Robert (Doc) was a veterinarian, graduated from Cornell University and owner of Monmouth Animal Hospital in Little Silver. They were longtime residents of Little Silver until moving to Shrewsbury in 2003. Pat and Bob enjoyed travel, family ski vacations and especially golfing and were members of Beacon Hill Country Club. Retired in Shrewsbury, Pat's husband passed away in January 2016. They were happily married for 59 years. Surviving is her son, Ian Nelson and his two sons, Cody and Charley, her daughter Avril Nelson, her son Darius Korzelius and her husband, Brain Campbell, Cyndy Salz, mother of Cody and Charley Nelson, her brother-in-law, William Nelson and niece Elizabeth Sublett and nephew Lawrence Nelson. In remembrance of Pat's life, the family requests that any charitable donation be made to the Monmouth County SPCA. All arrangements are private and entrusted to John E. Day Funeral Home in Red Bank.
