Peter M. "Bosco" Gresek, age 85 of Whiting, went home to be with the Lord Friday February 15, 2013. Born in Elizabeth he lived in Toms River and Spring Hill, FL before moving to Whiting in 2002. Bosco worked for the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union # 27 in Farmingdale before retiring in 1990. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII and heroically fought at the battle of Okinawa. Bosco was a dedicated member of the American Legion Post 129 and VFW Post 6063 in Toms River.

Peter was predeceased by his sisters Anne Fedirko, and Evelyn Gresek. Surviving is his beloved wife Maye Giglio Gresek, his two sons, Michael of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Dean and his wife Marianne of Toms River, and his sister Helen Joback of Linden. Also surviving are his two loving granddaughters Kaylie and Abbie Gresek of Toms River who were their grandpa's pride and joy, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitations will be held Monday 2-4 and 6-9 PM and Tuesday 9-10 AM at "The Family Owned" Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals, 412 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's RC Church in Toms River. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River.
