PETER ANTHONY GUZZI
AGE: 74 FORMERLY OF ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS
Peter Anthony Guzzi, 74, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Pete was born in Atlantic Highlands. He graduated from Atlantic Highlands High School and Monmouth College and served for two years in the U.S. Army. Pete was employed for six years by Naylor's Auto Parts in N.J., then as manager for Big A Auto Parts in Houston, and Napa Auto Parts in New Orleans. In 1979, he opened his own auto parts stores in Phoenix.
Pete was predeceased by his eldest son, Peter, in February 2009. He leaves his wife, Emily; two sons, Mark of Boulder, Colo., and Brian of Phoenix; and his daughter, Linda Guzzi Proverbs of Los Gatos, Calif. He is also survived by his brother, Samuel; and two sisters, Theresa Petraglia and Antoinette Knittel, all of Atlantic Highlands.
A memorial service was held Sunday, April 5 in Phoenix. Donations may be made in Pete's name to the Parkinson's Foundation (www.pdf.org).
