Peter F. Souviney

- - Peter F. Souviney, 69, passed away from this life on May 9, 2018. He was born in Brooklyn, NY to his parents Frank and June Souviney in 1949. He was predeceased by his twin brother Michael Souviney. Peter is survived by his children; Peter Souviney, Jr. of Massachusetts, Nathan Souviney, Rubin Souviney, Michael Souviney, Sara Souviney and Regina Souviney, all of Long Branch, NJ, 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, several nieces and nephews, his sister-in-law Betty Souviney of Macon, GA and his best friend Stephen Paduano who took excellent care of Peter for many years. He had a great love for his children as they were the center of his life.

Peter came from a military family. His parents were enlisted military and they lived in many places such as Virginia, Massachusetts and New Jersey. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam where he was wounded and was decorated with a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. After his service in the military, he became a carpenter working in Massachusetts and New Jersey. He was affiliated with the Carpenter's Union in Red Bank, NJ. Peter lived his final days in Neptune before moving to the VA Medical Center in Lyons, NJ.

Peter will be missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be an Saturday, May 12 from 1 to 3 PM at the Reilly Bonner Funeral Home, 801 D Street, Belmar, NJ. There will be a funeral Service at 3. Committal will be private.
