Peter Zagara Obituary
Berkeley Twp. - Peter A. Zagara, 101, of Berkeley Twp. passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Peter was a self-employed mason for many years before retiring. Peter also owned and operated a produce store. Born in Giardinello, Italy, he came to the United States in 1946. He lived in Upper Darby, PA, and Point Pleasant before moving to Berkeley Twp. Peter was a parishioner and usher at St. Dominic R.C. Church, Brick and belonged to their Knights of Columbus Council. Peter was a past parishioner at St. Peter's R.C. Church, Point Pleasant. Peter was predeceased by his first wife Grace and his sons Peter Jr., and Salvatore. Peter is survived by his wife Ludmila, his daughter Marianne Franovic of Manahawkin, 2 grandchildren Stefanie & Peter and 1 great-granddaughter. Visitation 9am-10:30am Saturday, August 14, 2021, at DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, 119 Union Ave., Lakehurst. Entombment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.
