Phyllis Greenleaf deMauriac Lieb

AGE: 86 •

Phyllis Greenleaf deMauriac Lieb, 86, died Thursday, July 7, 2011. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., graduated from Temple University, and taught Kindergarten for the Toms River Regional School District. She served as a Service Representative for TREA, and was treasurer for TREA Scholarship Fund. At Christ Episcopal Church, she was the Sunday School Assistant Music Teacher for many years. She represented the Prayer Book Society for the Diocese of NJ and was a trustee of the Bay Shore Property Owners Association. She was a member of Ocean County Artists' Guild and was monitor of life drawing studio for 17 years. She served as a member of Interfaith Diversity Group sponsored by Christ Church and Second Baptist Church of Toms River.

Phyllis is predeceased by her husband, Vincent Otto Lieb; her parents, Pierre and Frances deMauriac; sister, Frances Melvin; and brothers, William and Arthur deMauriac. She is survived by her daughter, Caroline Frances and her husband William Thomas Saunders; two grandsons, Stuart (wife Amanda) and Myles Lloyd; two step-granddaughters, Lisa Dohan (husband Alex) and Anne Rojas; and five stepgrandchildren.

A funeral service to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23 at Christ Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle. A Repast will follow at Christ Episcopal Church. Donations may be made to The Ocean County Artists' Guild, P.O. Box 1156, Island Heights, NJ 08732 or Christ Episcopal Church, 415 Washington St., Toms River, NJ 08753 or Second Baptist Church, 2 1st St., Toms River, NJ 08757. Arrangements were made under the direction of Ocean County Cremation Service, 206 Lacey Road, Forked River.
