RAYMOND REES
AGE: 80 NEPTUNE
Raymond Rees, 80, of Neptune, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, Penn. and had lived in Shark River Hills for the past 36 years. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 until 1948. Raymond worked for Anchor Glass in Matawan for 25 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Neptune Senior Bowling League and the Neptune Senior Center. He enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and was also an exempt member of the Shark River Hills Fire/Police.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marie, of Neptune; his daughters, Diane Cremer and her husband Garry of Easton, Penn., Donna Beahn and her husband Marvin of Wind Gap, Penn., RoseMarie Letts and her husband Jeff of Shark River Hills and Tina Rees of Spring Lake; his grandchildren, Robert Davis and his wife Angie, Kristie Beahn, Joel Beahn and Anthony Marino; and his great-grandchildren Regan and Avery Davis.
Friends and family are invited to call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Ely Funeral Home, 3316 Route 33, Neptune. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2008 at St. Catherine's Cemetery, Wall. Condolences may also be made online at www.elyfuneralhome.com.
