Dear Karen and Lee
I am so sorry that only tonight I learned that my dear friend Rhoda had passed away. I moved sea to nyc several years ago and lost ties to OT. I will always remember Rhoda as a very dear friend. Always upbeat brilliant and the epitome of excellent teaching. And of course lots of fun. Just like your wonderful dad Nortie

Though I never met this wonderful woman, I got to know so much about her through her devoted niece, Sue, who adored her Aunt Rhoda and did so much for her. I know she will be greatly missed by Sue and all of the rest of her family. Peace and comfort to all of you.

Dear Karen,
Reading your mother's obituary, I know that I would have enjoyed walking on the boardwalk with her. Love to you and your family.

To Mrs. Kern's Family,
I had the pleasure of being in her first grade class at Deal School shortly before she retired. If not for her and the things that she taught us, I might not be able to read her obituary, or write this message. She always created such a warm and welcoming environment, especially as we were learning how to read and write. And I'll forever be thankful for the memories that she helped create, and the solid foundation that she laid. With much love and celebration of an incredible teacher and woman.

My deepest condolences to you all- Lee, Karen, Sue and your families- Rhoda was one of Mom's greatest friends and I have wonderful memories of them laughing together in their heyday. I know Rhoda's circle was enormous; she was a friend to all. May her memory be for a blessing. -ETM
