Robert Avon Obituary
Robert Victor Avon, 66, of Brick Township passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Known by his family and friends as Bob, he was born and raised in Cliffside Park and was a graduate of Cliffside High School. After high school he began his 45 plus year career in construction along with his family. Bob moved to the shore area in 1979. He loved playing the harmonica, listening to blues music, and spending time with his family and his dogs.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Victor and Gloria Avon. He is survived by his loving children, Michael Avon of Farmingdale, Robert Avon and his wife Dana of Point Pleasant and Lauren Avon of California. Bob is also survived by his beloved brothers, Victor Avon and his wife JoAnne of Point Pleasant, Kenneth Avon and his wife Patty of Brielle, William Avon and his wife Laura of Wall and Richard Avon and his wife Vicki of Manasquan. He was cherished by his many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan, NJ with a service to begin at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Beginnings Church, 236 Brick Blvd., Brick, NJ 08723. To send condolences to the family please visit www.orenderfamilyhome.net.

Condolences to the entire Avon family on the passing of Bob.
His warm and friendly smile was always welcome at our weekly Blues Jams. As well as his soulful harmonica band playing.
I always enjoyed the time I spent talking to Bob.
I know he’s surely be missed.

Bob was truly a nice guy. A welcomed smiling face at the blues jams. I always enjoyed talking with him and listening to his outstanding harp playing.

Please accept sincere condolences from me and my family. I can remember as a young man (15) Bobby hitch hiked all the way to Woodstock from C. P. I fondly remember all of the hours that we spent power lifting at you house as well as my garage/ gym. I will miss you& feel a great loss. Vic ,Kenny, Billy & Rich . I love you guys .
