Robert Doucette Obituary
AGE: 60 • Mayetta
Robert Edward Doucette, 60, of Mayetta, NJ passed away on January 3, 2016 at home. Bob was born in Richmond, VA and lived in New Providence and Flemington, NJ before settling in Mayetta, NJ to raise his family with his wife Joan. He was a member of the mechanical maintenance team at Oyster Creek NGS in Forked River, NJ for the past 13 years. Bob volunteered for years with Stafford Girls Softball Association, was the "dunk booth guy" with St. Mary's Nights of Summer Carnival and cooked for the annual Toy Run foundation motorcycle run.
Bob is survived by his wife of 38 years, Joan (Lucas) Doucette; his two daughters, Michelle M. Doucette, CTR1, USN, Oak Harbor, WA and Megan E. Doucette, RN, Old Bridge, NJ; his brother, Judd R. Doucette and his wife Ellen, Pickens, SC; his uncle, Donald Cheater and his wife Betty, Naples, FL; his uncle, Harvey W. Cheater, Claremont, NH and many beloved family members and friends. Bob was predeceased by his granddaughter, Kylie Michelle in 2006 and his parents, Donald E. Doucette in 1985 and June C. Doucette in 2014.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 7 from 4 to 8 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Funeral Blessing will be offered Friday 10 AM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers Bob's family would appreciate donations to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mills, NJ at https://www.deborahfoundation.org/donate.
