Robert Hackos Obituary
AGE: 90 • Jackson
Robert (Bob) J. Hackos, 90, of Jackson died July 11, 2016 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Bob was an Engineer for Kearfott Corporation, Guidance & Navigation Division, Little Falls for 30 years before retiring in 1982. Born in Paterson, he grew up in Little Falls and resided in Wayne before moving to Jackson 32 years ago. Bob served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Ocean County Modelers Club and Wally Byam Caravan Club International (WBCCI). Bob was an incredible fabricator and builder. He built steamboats, and was always making and inventing things. He enjoyed helping others with repairs.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Norma, 2 sons, Robbie and David, 4 daughters, Paula, Patrice, Pamela and Kristen, his step-son, Ted Wagner and his girlfriend, Geri, his sister, Betty Hansen, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation 2-4 & 7-9pm Thursday July 14th and 9:30-10:30am Friday July 15th at DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, 119 Union Ave., Lakehurst. Burial to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
