ROSE CHACON
AGE: 83 BARNEGAT
Rose Chacon, 83, of Barnegat, formerly of Staten Island, N.Y., passed away Monday, March 15, 2010, with her loving family by her side. Rose was known for her quick wit and for her love of animals. She was very active in the Pheasant Run bowling club; and many others there. She also loved to dance and was a member of the Staten Island Ball Room Dancers and also loved square dancing.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; and eight brothers and sisters. She is the last of eight. Surviving are her sons, Joseph Chacon of NJ, and Carl and his wife Tahinna Chacon of S.I.; daughter, Linda and her husband Jim Dierking of NJ; grandchildren, Joseph R., Matthew A., Robert M., Elizabeth, and Tara; and great-grandchildren, Brian, Kevin, and Alex.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 18 at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Drive, Manahawkin. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 19 at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Manahawkin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.

Carl and Family:
I am truly sorry for the loss of your Mother. There are no words that I can say to ease the pain. I am being told that everyday you just have to remember the good things that you shared and the way she has touched your lives for the good.
