Rudolph Barbolini Obituary

Rudolph D. Barbolini

AGE: 93 • Morganville

Rudolph D. Barbolini Sr., 93, of Morganville, NJ, passed away on Friday May 20 at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, surrounded by his loving family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rudolph was born in Staten Island in 1922 to his late parents, Cesar and Ambrosina (Bonelli) Barbolini. It was in 1934 at the age of 11 that Rudolph would move to Morganville and spend the next 72 years of his life. It was in Morganville where Rudolph and his late wife, Margaret, would raise their beautiful family. Rudolph was a parishioner of St. Gabriel's church in Marlboro and a 25 year volunteer for the Morganville Fire and First Aid Squad. A self-employed general contractor by day, Rudolph's pleasures in life circled around hunting, fishing, carpentry and above all else, his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rudolph was a man of integrity, a man who instilled a strong set of morals and values, and an appreciation for a good work ethic, on his family. He was as unique as the wooden pieces he crafted and will never be forgotten by those he encountered.

Rudolph is predeceased in death by his two sisters, Sylvia Jameson and Esther Riddle; and two grandchildren, Dusty Baldwin, and Erin Barbolini. He is survived by his two sons and their spouses, Rudy and JoAnne Barbolini, and Victor and Barbara Barbolini; his four daughters, Dottie Todd and her husband John, Rosemarie Anderson, Deborah Baldwin and Theresa Eckel; his niece, Rose Ann Thompson; seventeen grandchildren; and twenty-four great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the Waitt Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 501 Rt. 79, Morganville, NJ 07751, on Tuesday May 24 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Rudolph on Wednesday May 25, beginning at 10:00am at St. Gabriel's Historic Church, 549 Newman Springs Rd., Marlboro, NJ 07746. Interment will follow mass at St. Gabriel's Cemetery, located directly behind the church.
