SANDRA A. FAULKNER BLATT
AGE: 73 BRICK
Sandra A. Faulkner Blatt, 73, of Brick, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. She worked in outpatient registration for Point Pleasant and Brick Hospitals for 29 years, retiring eight years ago. Mrs. Blatt was born in Somerville and had lived in Bernardsville prior to moving to Brick 40 years ago. She was a member of the BPOE #2151 in Brick.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Blatt, in 1997. Surviving are two sons, Kurt Blatt and his wife Tammy of Jackson, and Gregory Blatt and his wife Vivian of Perry, Maine; two sisters, Judy Mc Guire of Bernardsville, and Janet Benish of Simpsonville, S.C.; and one granddaughter, Sydney.
Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3 at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Highway 88, Brick. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4 at the funeral home, followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Blatt's name can be made to the Nursing Scholarship Fund of JSUMCF, 4900 Route 33, Neptune, NJ 07753.

I am so sorry for your loss of your Mom. I haven't seen her in many years but I always remembered her as being a very lovely giving person. She was always pleasant and cheerful. Your mom was a wonderful cook and I always loved when she would invite me to dinner. I remember she made some soup and put it in a bread bowl.. that was the best!. I remember so many pleasant times spending in your yard watching you work on that nasty boat(lol) and having your mom and dad around... I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. She was well loved by everyone who knew her. I have so many wonderful memories of both your parents from all the hat/birthday parties in their backyard. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. My Mom also sends her condolences and fondly remembers the yoga classes that she and your Mom took together in Point Pleasant.
