Sherrie Stevens Kulaszewski

Spring Lake - Sherrie Stevens Kulaszewski, 50, of Spring Lake, passed away unexpectedly of a brain aneurysm on Friday, July 30, 2021. Sherrie was born on January 2, 1971, in Neptune New Jersey to her loving parents Elaine and Walter. Sherrie grew up in Wall, and graduated Wall High School in 1989.

Sherrie then attended Brookdale Community College and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. She was a Registered Series 7 Sales Assistant at Morgan Stanley, Red Bank. She and her mother were the owners of Elite Boutique, Wall. Her real passion in life was teaching horseback riding. She recently suffered the loss of her beloved horse Gretzky which she rode for over 20 years.

Sherrie's greatest joy in life was raising Richard and Ryan. She instilled the values of hard work, education, and faith as a CCD teacher. She was a tenacious Hockey Mom and Baseball Team Mother. They adored and cherished her dedication to them.

Sherrie met the love of her life Rich in 1989. Not long after, she could not resist when he unexpectedly sent her roses. In 1993, they moved to Boca Raton, and she married her best friend in 1997 at St. Rose, Belmar where she received all of her sacraments. Their romance never ended.

She was not only a beautiful person at heart, who always helped those in need, but a true beauty queen. She frequently modeled and won numerous pageants, including The Queen of the Belmar St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Sherrie had a huge heart and touched the lives of all she encountered. She always lit the room with her brilliant smile and sassy personality. She was one of a kind! She was a special friend, sister, sister-in-law, daughter, granddaughter, aunt, caring mother, and loving wife.

She was predeceased by her father Walter Stevens. Surviving is her beloved husband Richard Kulaszewski Jr., her cherished sons Richard III, and Ryan Kulaszewski, her mother Elaine Stevens of Belmar, her sister Denise Jones and husband Mark of Wall, and their sons Tyler and Tucker, her maternal grandmother Gloria Krichman of Belmar, her father in law Richard Kulaszewski Sr. and wife Cathy (surrogate mom) of Toms River, and mother in law Judy Gerrow, and Rich's sisters and spouses Kim and Chris Wilding, Kate and Scott Angster, and Kristy and Fred Reiniger and their children.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 10:30am in St. Rose Church, 603 7th Ave., Belmar. Entombment will be in Atlantic View Cemetery, Manasquan.
