AGE: 50 • Neptune
Sherry Denise Garvin, 50, of Neptune, NJ, departed this life at her residence, Friday, January 31, 2014. Sherry was born September 9, 1963 in Trenton, NJ. She was a much loved and dedicated worker, as a Supply Coordinator, at JSUMC and an active member of the Together Sisters Org; which provides female mentorship and community service.
She is survived by her mother, Maxine Garvin, Gainesville, FL; grandfather, Raford Jackson, Jr., Orlando, FL; 2 sons, Keon Garvin, Neptune, and Jaahan Mitchell, Newark, NJ; 3 grandchildren, Kye'Jaia, Aliyah, Keon, Jr.; sister, Barbara Morris, Newberry, Fla; Uncle, Raford Jackson III, Neptune. She is preceded in death by father, Robert Garvin; grandmother, Cornelia Hampton.
A memorial service will be held at 12 PM, Saturday, Feb. 8, at Ely Funeral Home, 3316 Hwy 33, Neptune, NJ. Condolences may also be made online at www.elyfuneralhome.com.

Sherry, I see you in each of your grandchildren. They each have your spirit. They enjoy life, smiling all the time, and looking for fun!!! I wish they were able to know you. To Keon, Jaahan, and family,
I hold you all in my thoughts and prayers during your time of grief and healing. Whether she was at my house, or I was passing through the village Aunt Sherry always gave me the warmest smile, but would quickly put me in my place if I was doing something I had no business doing. I am truly blessed to have known such a wonderful human being and she will be forever missed. KG and Han you two are like big bros to me and if you ever need ANYTHING you know how to reach me.
