Stephen Kennedy Obituary
Highlands - Stephen B. Kennedy, 63 of Highlands, NJ entered into eternal life on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born in Jersey City, NJ and resided in Rumson and the shore area before moving to Highlands in 1992. Mr. Kennedy was a building contractor and proprietor of Stephen Kennedy Kitchens & Baths in Highlands for 45 years. He was also a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Church in Highlands and a lifelong diehard fan of the NY Yankees and NY Giants and loved attending games with his family. Mr. Kennedy was pre-deceased by his parents, Eugene & Janet Kennedy. He is survived by Debbie Kennedy and his daughter Laura Kennedy both of Highlands, his brother, David & wife Jan Kennedy of Louisiana, his sister Susan & husband Dominick Giusti of Garrison, NY, his niece Elizabeth & husband Kenneth Vasta, his nephew Christopher & wife Angela Giusti both of Peekskill, NY and a grandniece Stella Giusti. Relatives & friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday at 1 PM from Our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Church, Highlands, NJ. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at jdrf.org. Interment services are private and at the convenience of the family. Posten's funeral Home, Atlantic Highlands is in charge of arrangements.

Debbie, Laura - Our heartfelt sympathies - we always enjoyed being with Steve and he was such a great Yankee and Giants fan - we'll miss seeing him around town. Our prayers are with you and your family - wish we could be there tomorrow. We hope you find peace in the most joyful memories. God bless.
