Stuart Rogers Easter, Jr

AGE: 87 • Brick

Stuart R. Easter Jr. "Rog", passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Born in Passaic, he resided in Upper Saddle River for 23 years before retiring to the Jersey Shore. Rog proudly served in the U.S. Army Task Force Frigid in Alaska, Forward Observation and Infiltration. He was a graduate of Seton Hall University, earning his degree in management. He held the position of Financial and Accounting Operations Manager for General Fords Corporation in Rye Brook, New York. He was a past member of the National Association of Accountants, and the Society for Advancement of Management. While residing in Upper Saddle River, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Presentation Church, The Saddle River Lions Club, and a volunteer for the Upper Saddle River Police Reserves.

Rog was a long time member of the Manasquan River Golf Club in Brielle. He enjoyed golfing with the Seniors for many years. He was the past treasurer of the Northwest Gun Club, and a member of the Central Jersey Pistol and Rifle Club. He loved the outdoors and spending time duck hunting on the Barnegat Bay. A second career followed Rog when he obtained his real estate license. He became a member of Diane Turton Realtors in Bay Head, and enjoyed many successful years in this field.

Rog was preceded in death by his parents, Stuart and Elsie, his sister Elsie, and his brother James.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 50 years, Judy, his three loving sons S. Rogers Easter, III of Point Pleasant, Stephen Easter and wife Heather of Wall, Jeffrey Easter and wife Tara of Glen Ridge, his cherished grandchildren, Brendan, Kevin, Danny, Mary Clare, Jack, Lily, and Maeve, his brother in law Charles of Oklahoma, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, June 20th at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Bay Head. Entombment will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Wall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in loving memory of Stuart R. Easter, Jr. to the Hospice Program at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, or The American Heart Association. For directions and condolences, please visit www.OBrienFuneralHome.com
