AGE: 75 • Toms River
Susan J. Puglisi, age 75, of Berkeley Township, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Paterson, NJ, Susan lived in Middletown and Keansburg before relocating to the Toms River area almost 47 years ago. She was a nurses' aid and enjoyed volunteering at the local hospital as well as playing bocce ball and bingo in her spare time.
Susan was predeceased by her parents Peter and Marion Fitzsimmons as well as her brother Peter Fitzsimmons. Surviving is her loving and devoted husband of 52 years Ralph H. Puglisi Jr.; children Ralph H. Puglisi III and his wife Lisa, Amy Eldridge and her husband Bill, Elizabeth "Beth" Wood and her husband John and Stephen Puglisi and his wife Elizabeth "Liz"; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A memorial gathering celebrating Susan's life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 4PM to 6PM at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. Cremation was private. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 www.stjude.org
