Thomas Cernero Obituary
AGE: 64 • Toms River
Thomas N. Cernero, 64, of Toms River, passed away at Community Medical Center, Toms River, on May 31, 2013. Born in Passaic, NJ, he was formerly of Nutley before moving to Toms River 33 years ago. He worked as a truck driver for the Teamsters and was editor for the American Towman Magazine. He attended Grace & Peace Church, Toms River and First Assembly of God Church, Toms River. He served his country during the Vietnam Era in the US Navy.
Thomas was predeceased by his parents Nunzio in 1994 & Rachel in May of this year. Surviving are his brothers, Rev. Mark and his wife, Brookfield, CT; Rev. John & his wife, Fishers, IN & Rev. James & his wife, Round Rock, TX.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00AM-12:00PM at the Family Owned Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St, Toms River. Funeral service will be at 12:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Convoy of Hope, 330 S. Patterson Ave, Springfield, MO 65802. On behalf of the entire Mairella family, our thoughts and prayers and deepest sympathies are with the Cernero family at this very difficult time. Among many other fond memories I will always remember sharing stories with Tommy about his visit to Contursi in Italy.
