Dear Gorman Family,
I worked for Tommy for about two years right after college and although that was just a short portion of my career, I never forgot him. He was such a perfect person to be a “first boss”. He tried to be stern but it just wasn't in his nature, instead becoming a part of whatever craziness was going on in the lab. I worked right across from his desk, so I got to hear many stories about your family which he took great pride in sharing.
Anyone who knew Tommy got to see the comedic side of him, but I had the good fortune to work for him all through my first pregnancy. Never one to be mushy, he took very good care of me, and ALL of the other pregnant ladies, especially about limiting our working with dangerous chemicals. Later on, when I was having some personal problems, he was very understanding as well. You can never thank someone enough for that and you certainly can't forget him.
