Thomas E. Leach

AGE: 76 • Belmar

Thomas E. Leach, 76, of Belmar, was peacefully welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, June 14, 2014.

Born in Fords, N.J., Mr. Leach grew up in Metuchen and resided in Edison before moving to the shore area many years ago. He was an Army veteran and worked as a truck driver for Jaeger Lumber before retiring. He was a former member of the Edison First Aid and Rescue Squad #1 and the Freehold Township Independent Fire Co. He was a fan of the N.Y. Yankees and N.Y. Giants.

Mr. Leach was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Catherine (Murdock) Leach, as well as his sister, Geraldine O'Prandy. He is survived by his daughter, Arlene ("That's my girl"), grandsons Anthony and Christopher, several nieces and nephews, as well as special friends.

Cremation services were held privately. A memorial Mass will be held at the Church of St. Rose, Belmar, N.J., on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2310 Highway 34, Suite 1D, Manasquan, NJ 08736.
