Thomas Matchett Obituary
Retired former Chief Financial Officer of Schwab Capital Markets, died on January 31, 2021. He was a graduate of Lawrence College, Appleton, Wisconsin, and Northwestern University Kelloge School of Management where he earned an MBA degree. He also served in the US Army in Munich, Germany, from 1966 to 1968.
He was the son of Web and Jean Louise "Bunny" Matchett, both deceased, of Oak Park, Illinois. His sister, Holly Giles, of Reno, NV, and Anacortes, WA survives him.
He was the husband of Lucy B. Matchett who survives him. They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary in September 2020. He is also survived by his three children and their spouses Thomas W. III (Ann), Scott C. (Nadine) and Hillary T. (Chris) and four grandchildren Heidi and Bodie Matchett of Rumson, NJ and Grady and Dane Sandleitner of Delray Beach, FL.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his memory to a charity of your choice. Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, has been entrusted with the arrangements.

By keeping loved ones in our hearts, by remembering them with Love, by still thinking about them with a smile we keep them alive, they are always present in our lives, we don´t see them with our eyes but they are still there taking care and looking for the people they loved, so Grady and Dane, these kids I love so much have their Grand father everlasting loving and beautiful energy protecting them.

Thinking about Tom I only
have Gratitude in my heart since having the fortune of him going through this Earth I was able to have the blessing of taking care for many years as their Nanny and see how they grow up in Delray Beach, Florida, two of his beloved grandkids, the most beautiful kids ever: Grady and Dane. These kids are so lovely and amazing, they will be the continuation of Tom’s life and legacy, I am sure that Tom will always be so proud of his grandkids, his human character will remain in his survivors and will be the star that will guide them, the steps to follow for living a life worth living of decency, honesty, strength, responsibility, hard working, loving family member and so many other virtues Tom leaves during his prolific existence . So many reasons to celebrate the life of this gentleman that was able to leave me so nice impressions the few occasions I met him, he will be dearly missed by all the persons that know him. Enjoy your Eternal life dear Tom.
