AGE: 64 • Sayreville
Thomas R. "Randy" McCarthy, Sr., 64, of Sayreville died on Sunday July 17, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick he lived in South Amboy before moving to Sayreville. Before retiring in May he was employed by N.R.G. Energy, Inc., Sayreville. He was a member of Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville.
Son of the late Patrick T., Jr. and Dorothy MacCloud McCarthy, he is also predeceased by his brother Scott McCarthy and his sisters Patricia McCarthy, Kelly Fazzaro and Mary Ann Zinni. He is survived by wife Janet A. LoPresti McCarthy; his sons Michael McCarthy and his wife Christine and Thomas R. McCarthy, II and his fiance April Quinlan; his brothers Patrick, III, Kenneth, Robert and Terry McCarthy; his sister Kimberly Applegate and his grandchildren Thomas Quinn and Matthew Henry McCarthy.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 21, 2016 at 10:30am at The Gundrum Service "Home For Funerals" 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by entombment at Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
