William Louis Gregor Jr.

AGE: 88 • Old Bridge

William Louis Gregor Jr. died Thursday, January 8, 2015, at the Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge. He was 88. Born in Bretz, W. Virginia, he resided in New Brunswick, and then lived in Spotswood for 53 years, before moving to Old Bridge in 2010. Prior to his retirement in 1991, he worked for over 40 years at Delco-Remy, a Division of General Motors. He also worked as a landscaper and at a local Hess Service Station. A US Army veteran, he served during WWII from 1945-1946, stationed in both the U.S. and Japan. He was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church, Old Bridge, and formerly a member of the United Methodist Church at New Brunswick. He was also a member of the Spotswood Senior Citizens Club.

Mr. Gregor was married to his wife, Mary Jane Fischer Gregor, on June 16, 1951. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 3 daughters, Diane Ritchings and her husband, Harold, of East Brunswick, Jill Porcek and her husband, William, of Bridgewater, Joan Gregor-Pelly and her husband, Charles, of San Diego, CA; as well as 4 grandchildren, Keith and Corey Ritchings, and Brittany and Kelsey Porcek.

Friends may call on Saturday, January 31st, at Simpson United Methodist Church, Old Bridge, beginning at 10:00 am. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 am. Cremation will be private. Arrangements were entrusted to The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, (www.brunswickmemorialhome.com), East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Simpson United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 2095 Route 516, Old Bridge, NJ 08857.
