Angelo Bernard Carvidi

Angelo Bernard Carvidi Angelo Bernard Carvidi, 94, entered into eternal rest on February 27, 2009 at his home in Yuba City. Born on September 7, 1914, he was a resident of the Yuba-Sutter area for 47 years. Mr. Carvidi served honorably in the Armed Forces for 30 years, retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant in 1967 after having been a veteran of three wars: World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. He was involved with aviation during his entire military career. Angelo is survived by his loving wife, Gertrude Carvidi, and by three children: Marie Carvidi of Yuba City, Michael Carvidi of Petaluma, CA and Tommy Carvidi of Citrus Heights, CA. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, whom he loved: Steven Fahrney, Alex Carvidi, Francesca Carvidi and Gabrielle Carvidi. Mr. Carvidi was a long time parishioner at St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Yuba City. He also was an active Ham Radio operator, known by his call sign, "K6GFY." Angelo loved his family dearly, and he will be missed greatly. The Funeral Service for Mr. Carvidi will be on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 12:00 pm in the chapel at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst, CA. Members of the Beale AFB Honor Guard will present full military honors. Mr. Carvidi's final place of rest will be at Sierra View Memorial Park, and at the request of the family, the interment will be private.
