Beverly Simpson

Beverly Jean Taylor Brockhoff Simpson, 80, of Roseville, CA, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025.

Born on October 20, 1944, in San Francisco, CA, Beverly was the cherished daughter of Paul and LaRue Taylor.

A proud graduate of Chico High, class of 1962, Beverly went on to attend both UC Berkeley and Chico State, earning her teaching degree from Chico State in 1966.

She dedicated 36 years of her life to teaching. Her lifelong commitment to her students and colleagues remains one of her greatest legacies.

Beverly found joy in life's simple pleasures, spending time on the golf course, or cheering for her favorite sports teams.

She especially enjoyed supporting her grandson's activities and never missed a game, meet, performance, or awards assembly. She will be fondly remembered for her holiday cookies.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Simpson. She will be missed by her children, Cheryl (Jeremy) Coker, of Fair Oaks, CA, and Donald (Christena) Brockhof,f of Plumas Lake, CA; sister, Patricia Locke, of Los Angeles, CA; and her grandchildren, Aiden Coker, of San Diego, CA, Brian Coker, of Los Angeles, CA, Matthew Brockhoff, of Bozeman, MT, and Nathan Brockhoff, of Annapolis, MD.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at The Timber Creek Lodge at Sun City, Roseville, CA, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 5 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Beverly Simpson's memory.
