Bing Hong Obituary

Bing Q. Yee Hong Passed away peacefully in Marysville on October 12, 2010 at age 91. Born in Toisan Province, China, Bing immigrated to the US at age 16. He spent 45 years in the grocery business. He was a partner in Belmont Market in Yuba City in the 50-60's and owner of Bing's Market in Olivehurst until his retirement in 1981. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mee Chun Hong and sons, John, David (Karen) and Jason Hong, also his granddaughter Christina, all of Yuba City. He also leaves his sister, Marie (Alvin) Lee of Portland, sisters-in- law May Yee, Helen Hong, and Betty Yee, all of San Francisco and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4-7pm at Ullrey Memorial Chapel. All are welcome to attend services at 11am on Saturday, October 16, at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond Street, Yuba City, 95991. Internment to follow at Sutter Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Friends of the Marysville Bok Kai Temple, PO Box 1844, Marysville, CA 95901. A gathering to follow services at 1:30pm on Saturday at the Yuba Buffet, 840 Gray Ave. in Yuba City. Send Condolences to www.appealdemocrat.com
