Darci Bolander Obituary

Darci D. Evans Bolander, 58 years old of Littleton, CO passed away after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Darci was born in Gridley, CA and lived most of her life in the Yuba-Sutter area before settling in CO with her loving husband, Bruce. In her early years, she was a member of the Dentender 4H Club where she learned a lot of valuable life skills. She graduated from Sutter Union High School where she was a song leader during her Junior and Senior years. Right after high school she entered the Miss Yuba Sutter pageant and won runner up. She worked as an accountant for many local businesses before settling at Otto Trucking in Littleton, CO. She also organized walks for Cancer Awareness where she raised much needed funds for Cancer Research. She continued doing this even through her own battle with the disease. She was a true cancer warrior. She joined Cookie Lee Jewelry and became a successful Senior Team Leader. She loved to travel and earned trips with her ability to sell jewelry to anyone, anywhere. Her passions were jewelry, her family, and weekend Harley rides with her husband. She loved the outdoors and walked every day.

She is survived by her husband and love of her life of 22 years Bruce Bolander. She is also survived by her sons Billy Rohm, Jr. (Kimberly) of Queensbury, NY, Davin Beumel of Chico, CA, stepson, Ben Bolander (Julie) of AZ, brother Burt Evans (Kendall) of Colorado Springs, CO, sister Denise Evans of YC, and 7 grandchildren whom she loved very much.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Bobbie Stiles; father, Lloyd Evans; and niece, Haley Marshall.

The true meaning of Darci is Love, Kindness, Compassion and most of all, Laughter. Because when Darci laughed, we ALL laughed.

A graveside service will be held at Sutter Cemetery on June 7, at 11am. A Celebration of Life to immediately follow. The location will be announced at the service.

In honor of Darci, let's all wear pink.
