Donald Ruble Obituary
Born on April 18, 1928, Donald dedicated 21 years of his life to the United States Air Force, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant.
His military career included two tours in Vietnam and significant responsibilities involving the SR-71's and Nuclear Atomic Bombs, holding Top Secret Clearance for handling, transport, and refueling.
Post-military, he contributed to nuclear testing with the Atomic Energy Commission in Amchitka, Alaska, and worked internationally in Saudi Arabia and Indonesia on petrochemical refineries with Holmes & Narver and Fluor Corporation.
Donald was a graduate of Newpoint High School in Indiana and furthered his education at Allan Hancock Community College in California.
Beyond his professional and military accomplishments, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, known for his devotion to his family and community.
He cherished time spent with his grandchildren, Megan and Stephen, and was an active Life Time Member of the Peach Bowl Lions Club.
He is survived by his son, Mark J. Ruble; daughter-in-law, Elisabeth; granddaughter, Megan Ruble; and grandson, Stephen Ruble.
Donald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Amelia Ruble; parents, Hulbert and Ella Ruble; sisters, Belva, Fredia, and Virgie; and his brothers, Howard, Cecil, Floyd, and Virgil.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations are welcomed at the Yuba City Peach Bowl Lions Club and Sutter Hospital Hospice, honoring Donald's commitment to service and care for others.
