Donna Lee Tremayne

Donna Lee (Jones) Tremayne of Lake Almanor, CA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2022, after a sudden and brief illness, with family by her side. She was 80 years old.

Donna was born January 8, 1942, in Sutter, CA, to Robert and Billie Jones. The family moved to Alaska in 1958, where Donna married and had three children. She lived in Alaska until returning to California in 1976, eventually settling in Lake Almanor in 2016.

Donna loved spending time with family and friends. She was known to plan the best gatherings and always prepared the great food and drink to accommodate the crowd. Her sense of humor often had everyone laughing, be it with a funny story or one of her well thought out antics.

Donna loved to fish and spent many weekends at Tangle Lakes and the Kenai Keys while living in Alaska and it didn't take her long to find favorite fishing holes when she moved to Lake Almanor. She taught her children how to fish and gave them a lifetime of memories with her on the lakes, riverbanks and streams throughout Alaska and Northern California.

Donna will always be remembered for her beautiful flower gardens, especially her roses. The many flowers she planted wherever she went are a legacy to Donna's life and how she loved sharing that beauty with everyone.

Donna is lovingly remembered and will be greatly missed by her three children: daughters, Theresa Pearson (Mark) of Westwood, CA, and Carrie Mannon (Shawn) of San Diego, CA; and son, John Tremayne of Wasilla, AK; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Diane Moore (Frank) of Yuba City, CA; brother, Rod Jones (Susan) of San Diego, CA; aunt, Barbara Whitaker (Jim) of Rough and Ready; and her many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Billie Jones of Yuba City, CA, and her husband, George Helms of Lake Alamanor.

There will be no services as per her wishes. The family requests donations to your local hospice.
