Erich Butler Obituary
Erich (Rick) Butler, 58, of Live Oak, California, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, July 22, 2016 at Ullrey's Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond St., Yuba City, CA. Deacon Eldon Vignery will be officiating. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Sutter North Hospice.
Rick was born in Marysville, California to Blair and Roberta (Gomes) Butler. He attended Norte Dame grammar school, graduated from Yuba City High School in 1976, then attended Yuba College for Agronomy. In 1989 he married the former Carol Lynn Clark in Live Oak. Rick was self employed as farmer for over 40 years. He was an avid and skilled hunter. He also enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with his family. Rick was a devoted husband, father, son and a friend to all. A special thank you to the Sutter North Hospice in Yuba City for their loving care and support. Also thank you to Ullrey's Memorial Chapel, the Country Florist and the Moose Lodge-Y.C. for all of the arrangements.
Rick is survived by his wife Carol Butler, his daughter Ericha Butler and her wife Ashley (Yeh) of Sacramento; his mother Roberta Butler of Live Oak; nieces Angela Butler (Kelly) of Yuba City; Whitney Clark of Belgium and Alexandra Clark of Sacramento. Nephews Brett Butler (Andrea) of Gridley, Adam Hull of Georgetown, and James Clark (Jacqi) of Rocklin. Along with several great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family and friends. Last but not least his shotgun riding buddy, Angus.
He was preceded in death by his father Blair Butler, his sister Gayle Hull and brother Barry Butler.
