Franklin Donald Perkins

Franklin Donald Perkins, a lifelong Yuba-Sutter resident, passed away on September 21, 2025, in Marysville, CA, at 68.

Born on July 22, 1957, Frank grew up in Wheatland, CA, where he proudly came from a pioneer family deeply rooted in the community.

He attended Wheatland schools and began working alongside his father at Charlie and Don's Service Station and later at Perkins Ag Repair.

Frank spent more than 40 years behind the bar pouring drinks and making memories with friends old and new, later owning the Red Hill Saloon in Wheatland before his retirement.

He could always be found where the laughter was loudest and the food was best, cooking up something special, telling a story, or most recently camping under the stars. Frank cared deeply for his family and friends and will be missed dearly.

Frank is survived by Michele Mazerolle; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Alexandria and Justin Jones; beloved granddaughter, Mazie Bird Jones, all of Marysville, CA; sister, Nikki Perkins; niece, Brittney Murphy; nephew, Travis Perkins all of Yerington, NV; nephew, Monte Curtis Snider, of Sheridan, CA; cousins, Tim, Andrew, and Jamie Barnes, of Olivehurst, CA; niece, Sunshine Wessinger, of Woodstock, GA; nephew, Cory Conrad, of Cornelia, GA; niece, Loni Geihsler, of Wichita, KS; and several great nieces and nephews.

Frank is reunited with many friends and family who went before him, including his parents, Donald Perkins and Patricia Barnes; and his sister, Denise Conrad.

A memorial service to celebrate Frank's life will be held at 4:30 PM, on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Patina Garden Event Center, 103 C St., Marysville, CA.

Tie-dye attire is welcome and encouraged, a nod to Frank's colorful spirit and love for life.
