George Hungrige Obituary


George Kenneth Hungrige, 79, passed away on January 20, 2021 after a long battle with with Parkinson's disease, related dementia, and other related medical issues.

Ken is survived by his wife of 57 years Joan; their three sons, Brent (Janine) Hungrige, Craig (Jammie) Hungrige, and Lorn (Angela) Hungrige; their grandchildren Devin (Emma) Hungrige, Taylor Hungrige Bybee (Tim), Sarah Hungrige (Keenan), Klara Hungrige, Brayden (Haeley) Hungrige, Logan Hungrige; their great grandchildren Waylon Bybee, Jaxson Bybee, and Elias Hungrige. Ken is also survived by his brother Tom (Tina) Hungrige and his sister Patricia (Kevin) Boises both from New Jersey. Ken was proceeded in death by his parents Kenneth Francis Hungrige and Anna Rita Bubnis and his sister Mary (Richard) Pfaff.

Ken was an insurance claims adjuster for 30 years, served in the US Navy, was an Eagle Scout and a very active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved to support and play with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, providing service to others and talking to people about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Ken will be remembered for his smile, laughter, being a kid at heart, love of ice cream, tapioca pudding, Oreo cookies and watching high school sports. Ken loved his family and had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and that families can be together forever.

Graveside services will be on February 2, 2021 at 11am at Sutter Cemetery. Services will be conducted by Bishop Jimmy Nore of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund curealz.org.
