Gertrude Catherine Carvidi

Gertrude Catherine Carvidi 93, entered into eternal rest on June 6, 2009 at her home in Yuba City. Born on November 6, 1915, she was a resident of the Yuba-Sutter area for 47 years. Mrs. Carvidi was a loving mother and wife, always giving of herself unselfishly. In addition to her devotion to family, she gave of her time and energy to help the church, the community and her friends. She was a long-time parishioner at St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Yuba City, and she was one of the founding members of their Young Ladies Institute. She was also an outstanding Italian cook, and she loved to dance. Gertrude is survived by three children; Marie Carvidi of Yuba City, Michael Carvidi of Petaluma, and Tommy Carvidi of Citrus Heights. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Steven Fahrney, Alex Carvidi, Francesca Carvidi and Gabrielle Carvidi. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Angelo, a few, short months ago. Mrs. Carvidi loved her family dearly, and she will be missed greatly. The Funeral Service for Mrs. Carvidi will be on Saturday, June 13, 2009, at 10:00 am in the chapel at Sierra View Mortuary in Olivehurst, CA.
