Harold Wilsey Obituary

Harold Wilsey, Jr. was born in Colusa on November 22, 1925, at the end of WWII, he was on the Navy ship that landed the first occupation troops in Japan. After the war, he attended USF Law School and then came back to Colusa to practice. He spent 16 years as the Colusa County District Attorney and 7 years as city Attorney for the city of Colusa and 8 years as Colusa County Counsel, in addition to maintaining a private practice. He was involved with the inception of the Stagehands theater group and had leading roles in many of their plays. His favorite and most challenging part was that of Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady. Harold leaves behind, Jeneane, his wife of 34 years, and family members, Deidre Wilsey, Kirk Wilsey (Teresa), Estella Dudman (Scot), Michael Wilsey, and three grandchildren; Steven, Kristin, and Christopher. In accordance with Harold's wishes, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Redskin Foundation of Colusa High School in care of Newton-Bracewell Funeral Homes. Harold was a 1943 graduate and lettered in four sports. To the Wilsey Family- My sincere condolences on the loss of Harold.
I always enjoyed working with him in Stagehands and we shared a love for theatre and song. May you find comfort in knowing that he is in a better place- and somewhere- I hear him breaking into song.
