Hilda Ward

Hilda Ward, a cherished resident of Yuba City, CA, gracefully concluded her remarkable journey of nearly 105 years on February 6, 2024.

Born in Burns, OR, on March 12, 1919, Hilda's life was one of profound love, creativity, and enduring bonds.

In 1999, Hilda moved to Yuba City, CA, to make it her home after the passing of her cherished husband, Bud.

Hilda was known for her sincere kindness, artistic talent, and genuine passion of playing games. Hilda's love for her family and friends was the cornerstone of her existence. Those close to her always held a special and undeniable place in her heart, and she made a profound impact on those lucky enough to call her family or friend.

She is lovingly remembered by her two sons and their spouses, Ron and Katy Ward of Yuba City, CA, and Mike and Irene Ward of Colusa, CA. She will be dearly missed by her grandson, Brent and his wife, Kristi Ward of Williams, CA; as well as her great-granddaughter, Allison and her husband, Jared Heffner of Minden, CA; and great-grandson, Ryan Ward, also of Williams, CA. Her great-great-granddaughters, Jacklyn and Hazel Ward stand as testaments to the beautiful generational tapestry that Hilda created and cherished so deeply.

Hilda's final resting place will be beside her beloved Bud at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sacramento, CA. She will be profoundly missed, yet forever fondly remembered by her family and all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
