Joan Hern Obituary
She worked in the education field for 28 years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, trying her luck at local casinos, taking drives and playing cards / games. She was at her happiest when spending time with family and close friends.
She is survived by her son, Jerry (Terri) Hern; granddaughter, Lauren of Sheridan; son-in-law, Kenneth Clark of Yuba City; grandsons, Jacob Hern of Sutter, Casey Hayes of Marysville and Daniel Hayes of Australia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Hern Sr.; daughters, Lori Hayes of Marysville and Michele Clark of Yuba City; parents, Marvin and Oleta Tull of Marysville; sisters, Patricia Rice of Wheatland and Marlene Haddox of Sheridan.
A graveside service will be held at the Wheatland Cemetery, 4865 Wheatland Road in Wheatland on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11am.

I met Carol/ familywhile I wS score keeping for City Of Marysville in the late 80's. She'd come & sit in the stands w/others in & around me & we got to know each other. She got such joy watching her kids play softball. Such a nice woman. I'm so sorry to see of her passing. Hugs & prayers to the family.
