Lance James Ayers Of Marysville, CA, passed away suddenly on June 30, 2010 at the age of 63. Lance was born in French Camp, CA to Dr. Robert L. and Coralee Ayers. He moved to Marysville with his family in 1949 and lived his whole life here. He is a 1964 graduate of Marysville High School and a Veteran of USAF and served in the Vietnam War. He spent 14 years with the Yuba County Sheriff's department starting as a deputy and advancing to Sergeant. He was a Private Investigator for several years. Over the last few years, he has worked with the Disabled American Veterans and very active in the Veterans Community. Lance is survived by his wife, Korina Ayers, of Smartsville, CA, daughters, Terri Ayers and Patricia Elderkin of Browns Valley, CA, Sherri (Kevin) Saber of Redding, CA, a granddaughter Nicole Saber of Anderson, CA, a sister Karen (Lanny) Connel of Palo Alto, CA, a brother, Bruce Ayers of Live Oak, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons, Tyler Joseph Navarrot and Craig James Saber. Per his wishes, there will be no formal funeral service.
