Lauretta Loverin Obituary
Lauretta Marcelle "Marcy" Loverin passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, at Adventist Health Rideout, surrounded by family.
A lifelong resident of the Yuba-Sutter area, Marcy cherished her community and its simple joys, attending the Peach Festival and county fair, visiting the local movie theater, where she loved feeding the chickens that lived in the parking lot, and finding peace wherever she could see the Sutter Buttes.
Marcy dedicated her life to caring for others. She served as a nurse for 25 years before retirement, nine years of which she served on 3 West at Rideout Hospital before continuing her work at Orchard Hospital in Gridley, CA.
Her compassion and kindness touched countless lives and earned deep gratitude from those she cared for, as she treasured forming lasting bonds with her patients and coworkers alike.
She loved being part of a big family and found her greatest joy in time spent with them. Marcy was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Inez Barlow; and sister, Deanna Tiff.
She is survived by her daughters, Angela Caruso and Rachelle Caruso; grandchildren, Bri Caruso and Tyler Smith; great-grandchildren; sister, Priscilla Wilcoxen; brother, George Barlow; and all of whom will continue to carry her love forward.
Services will be held Monday, October 20, 2025, at Sutter Cemetery at 2 PM. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, please bring one flower to the service and consider a donation to FREED. A no-host gathering will be held at Olive Garden in Yuba City following the service, for anyone who would like to join.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
